Data Scientist
- Company Inspari
We are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist to join Inspari's TalentHub in Bucharest. You have strong technical expertise in machine learning, generative AI, or both, and you are ready to take ownership of complex technical projects while working closely with colleagues and clients across our Danish and Romanian teams.
You will become part of a broader technical community spanning data science, data engineering, software development, and automation. You will collaborate on projects for enterprise clients, as well as on Inspari's own AI products.
As a Data Scientist, you take technical ownership of projects while remaining hands-on throughout the delivery. You write code, build and deploy machine learning models, run experiments, design scalable solutions, and bring them into production.
You will typically:
- Lead AI and machine learning projects from problem understanding to a production-ready solution
- Translate ambiguous business needs into concrete technical problems and solution designs
- Set technical direction and make decisions on models, methods, architecture and platforms
- Drive technical clarification directly with client stakeholders
- Ensure the balance between technical quality, usability, governance and business value
- Contribute to scoping and estimating new client engagements
- Mentor colleagues and help build reusable methods, components and accelerators
Depending on your specialisation, you might work with forecasting, optimisation, recommendation engines and MLOps, or with RAG, document intelligence, copilots, agentic AI and intelligent workflows, areas where colleagues such as our AI Lead have built deep expertise across demand planning, digital twins, chatbots and tender-writing agents.
How you create success in the role:
- You turn complex AI and machine learning problems into solutions with clear business value
- You create structure and momentum, even when the framing or the solution isn't given in advance
- You build solutions that can be deployed, used, monitored and further developed
- You build trust through technical credibility, clear communication and well-founded recommendations
- You raise the quality of the people around you through sparring, mentoring and reusable methods
Your profile:
We are looking for an autonomous profile with consulting experience, technical depth, and a track record of taking responsibility for complex data science, machine learning or AI deliveries. Ideally you:
- Have held a leading technical role, or clearly carried responsibility, in complex client projects
- Have developed and implemented production-oriented solutions within machine learning and/or generative AI
- Are strong in Python, comfortable with SQL, and understand modern software engineering practice
- Have experience with cloud platforms ex. Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud platforms
- Understand deployment, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, governance and handover to operations
- Can translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate choices, risks and trade-offs to clients
- Have experience sparring with colleagues, and ideally have contributed to scoping, estimation or reusable solutions
You don't need to be an expert in both machine learning and generative AI. What matters is documented depth in at least one of them, and the ability to collaborate credibly with other specialists on the overall solution.
And if you don't tick every box above but have the ambition and the drive to grow into this role quickly, we would still very much like to hear from you.
What we offer:
This position is part of Inspari's TalentHub in Bucharest, our growing hub for data and AI talent. Joining us means becoming part of a strong professional community with a central office location, good terms, flexibility, and real opportunities to learn from senior specialists in Denmark and Romania.
